Exercise is the most important part of an active and healthy lifestyle and the most central means of maintaining and improving health. So, how do overcome inertia and develop healthy exercise habits?
1. Moderate-intensity exercise is suitable for most people
Moderate-intensity exercise also has significant health benefits. The so-called moderate-intensity refers to the ability to speak freely during exercise, and walking is a typical moderate-intensity exercise. More and more studies show that moderate-intensity exercise is not much less effective than high-intensity exercise, and that easy exercise is easier to stick to.
2. Exercise three times a week is enough for your health
According to the 2018 US Physical Activity Requirements, vigorous-intensity exercise for about 20 minutes three times a week, or moderate-intensity exercise for about 30 minutes each time five times a week is sufficient for health benefits. In other words, you don't need to exercise every day, exercising every other day or 3 times a week is good enough.
3. It is also good to do some fragmented sports when you have time
Fragmented, short-term exercise is good for health, and can be included in the calculation of total daily exercise.
